Pre-inspection cleaning

Pre-inspection cleaning for inspection day

Inspectors notice a dusty space before they notice anything else. We clean and clear the building so the visit stays on the work.

Clean before the clipboard comes out

A building, health or occupancy inspection is a date nobody wants to rebook. Dust on fixtures, debris in exit paths, blocked panels and a kitchen still wearing construction grime all pull attention away from the work being inspected. Pre-inspection cleaning gets the space looking finished in time for that visit. We clear walkways and exits, clean the surfaces an inspector touches and looks at, and leave the rooms orderly so the inspection moves through the building without distraction.

Restaurant and food-service openings get extra attention before a health inspection. In those spaces, crews sanitize every food-contact surface and work through the line, prep stations, sinks, walk-in coolers and floors before the health inspector arrives. Medical offices, schools and offices get a clean matched to whatever the inspector is coming to see, from exam rooms and corridors to classrooms and break rooms. The walkthrough is where we learn which inspection is on your calendar and what that visit focuses on.

Timing does most of the work. We schedule the clean close to the inspection so new dust has no time to settle, and we work around trades finishing their own punch items, nights and weekends included. A supervisor walks the space before the inspector does. If a later inspection follows, such as a final occupancy visit after a partial one, we plan that second clean on the same schedule so each visit finds the building ready.

A few useful answers

Pre-inspection cleaning questions.

Why clean before an inspection rather than after?

Because the inspector forms an impression in the first room. A clean, clear space lets the visit stay on the build itself and shows a project that is ready for occupancy. The deeper final clean can follow before handover.

Do you clean commercial kitchens before a health inspection?

Yes. Food-contact surfaces, prep tables, the cook line, sinks, shelving, walk-ins and kitchen floors are cleaned and sanitized ahead of the inspector, and restrooms get a full scrub.

What if our inspection gets rescheduled?

Tell us the new date and we re-plan. When it moves later, a light refresh before the new date clears any dust that settled; when it moves earlier, we rebuild the visit order to fit.

How do you price a pre-inspection clean?

The size of the space, how many rooms the inspector will see, kitchen and restroom counts, the dust left from the build and the time of day the work runs. A free walkthrough comes first, then a written quote.
