A hotel can’t sell a room that isn’t clean, and a new or renovated property has a long run of rooms waiting at once. Construction cleaning for hotels starts from the opening date and the room release plan. We clean guest rooms in the order they are finished, then corridors, elevators and stairwells, then the lobby, restaurant, fitness room and meeting spaces. Each release is ready for housekeeping to take over and stage for guests.
Guest rooms take detail. Crews dust headboards, lamps, vents and closet shelving, wipe drawers and furniture inside and out, clean bathroom tile, glass and fixtures, and vacuum carpet edge to edge. Corridors get baseboards, door frames and signage. Public spaces get glass, stone, millwork and the front desk, cleaned to the standard the brand sets for opening day.
Renovations inside open hotels need careful timing. Floors under construction sit next to floors with guests, so crews work in the closed areas, follow the property’s rules on paths and elevators, and clean at hours that keep noise and traffic away from guests. Developers and hotel managers get one plan for every floor release, supervisor inspections before handover to operations and a certificate of insurance on file.
Opening teams also need the back of the house ready. Laundry rooms, housekeeping closets, staff break rooms, kitchens and loading areas collect as much dust as the guest floors, and operations can’t stock linens or set up a kitchen in a dusty room. We put those spaces on the plan ahead of the guest floors when operations needs them first, so the team that runs the hotel moves in on its own date while rooms are still being finished above.
