Construction cleaning for office build-outs and move-ins

From tenant improvement to first day at work

Office move-ins are planned months ahead and then compressed into the last few weeks. Construction wraps, furniture arrives, IT runs cable and the moving company has a date. Each of those leaves dust and packaging behind. We plan the clean backward from move-in: a construction clean when the trades leave, a pass after furniture install to unwrap and wipe workstations, and a detail clean before employees walk in.

Offices are judged up close. Crews clean the glass fronts of meeting rooms and private offices, wipe desks, cabinets, pantry counters and appliances, dust light fixtures and vents, and remove film from new furniture. Break rooms, restrooms and reception get a full detail, and carpet and hard floors are vacuumed and mopped after the last delivery. Furniture packaging and cleaning waste are bagged and removed.

Most build-outs sit inside occupied buildings, so the clean follows building rules on freight elevators, loading docks and after-hours access. Crews work nights and weekends when daytime belongs to installers, and supervisors inspect every area before move-in. Property managers get a certificate of insurance for the building file, and the tenant gets an office ready for its first day.

Brokers and property managers also book a construction clean for vacant suites before tours. A freshly built suite with dust on the sills and film on the glass shows poorly, so the clean is scheduled backward from the first tour date and refreshed before the next one if the suite stays empty. A suite that looks move-in ready lets a prospective tenant picture the space as their own.
