The first day of school does not move. We plan the construction clean backward from it, building by building.

New classroom with rows of desks and chairs, a whiteboard and tall windows

Ready for the first bell

School projects run on the academic calendar. Summer renovations, modernizations and new buildings all have to be finished, inspected and cleaned before teachers set up classrooms and students arrive. The clean is the last step in a tight window, so we plan it backward from the first day and from teacher move-in, which comes first. Buildings released early get cleaned early, and the rest follow on their own dates.

Classrooms need dust removed from every surface students touch: desks, chairs, cabinets, sills, whiteboards and sinks. Corridors, restrooms, gyms, cafeterias, libraries, labs and offices each get their own pass. Crews clean new furniture after delivery, remove packaging and leave floors ready for daily custodial care. Science labs and school kitchens get counters, sinks and fixtures cleaned to the standard the school sets.

Campus work comes with rules. Crews are background-checked, follow site rules and PPE requirements around active construction, and keep to the areas and paths the district or campus assigns. Supervisors inspect each building before handover to the custodial staff. Project managers and facilities directors get one schedule for every building on the project and a certificate of insurance ready for district paperwork.

Mid-year projects follow a different calendar. A classroom wing finished during spring break, a gym renovated over winter recess or a new building opened between terms all have a short window with students away. We plan those cleans around the break, using evenings and weekends before and after it, so the space is ready when classes return and nobody has to teach around construction dust.

A few useful answers

School cleaning questions.

How do you plan around teacher move-in and the first day?

Both dates go on the plan. Classrooms are cleaned first so teachers can set up, then corridors, gyms and common areas are detailed before students arrive.

Are your crews background-checked for school sites?

Yes. Every crew member is background-checked, and crews follow the campus’s sign-in and site rules on every visit.

Can you clean buildings as they are released on a campus project?

Yes. Phased turnover cleaning follows the building release schedule, so each building is ready for custodial staff on its own date.

How is school construction cleaning priced?

By building size, classroom and restroom counts, specialty rooms such as labs and kitchens, visit count and timing. We walk the campus for free and send a written quote.

Can you clean a project finished over a school break?

Yes. We plan the clean inside the break window, adding evenings and weekends on either side, so rooms are ready when students return.

Tell us your date. We will walk the site, plan the clean backward from it and send a written quote.
